As someone who transitioned from Trinidad to the U.S., she brings a unique perspective on embracing new opportunities and strategies, emphasizing that anyone can achieve their best through engagement and effective management.

Dr. Copeland holds a bachelor’s in Business Management and an MBA from North Carolina Central University, as well as a Ph.D. in Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies from UNC Greensboro. With over a decade in higher education, she has served as a tenured professor, diversity committee chair, faculty chair, and assistant provost for faculty development. In her free time, she enjoys singing, baking, and learning new skills.
